WAVECATCHER IS OPEN!

Please pardon the long delay in calendar UPDATE; software compatibility issues. We are up to date now.

The riprap project is complete, covered with sand and thousands of new baby beach grass plants (October 2021). Please do not play on the new-riprap covered boulders/sand/ beach grass--it looks like a dune but it isn't solid--there are gaps between underlying boulders that the sand can collapse into. Please use the boardwalk across the buried riprap.

The summer stairs are in place with a boardwalk acroos the buried riprap (for March 2022- Nov 2022 - IF MAMA Ocean allows).  At winter, the only beach access will be at the south end of our row of 9 houses.  (That is a County access point but rarely maintained!!.)

We thank you for choosing Wavecatcher as we continue to navigate the delicate balance between community safety and individual pleasure. We appreciate your loyalty, and respectfully request that you support the health of our coastal community by continuing to mask up when you leave the cottage for highly populated destinations. Clean, bagged cloth masks are provided in the event yours needs changing; just please add them to your laundry when you leave.

Even with vaccinations continuing apace, we will continue to maintain our housekeeper's COVID cleaning protocols, although we have cut back down on guest responsibilities (that delicate balance!!). Current FAQs, guidelines (laundry, housekeeping), and what to do before you leave are detailed in the attachment posted below this update. Please read these through before your stay. Respecting these is a kindness to our housekeeper.
Given the uncertainties of the Covid, it's probably best if you check directly with any place you have your heart set on visiting.
Finally, please please *please* wear a mask when you are out and about. You may be fully immunized yourself, but you can still spread this highly contagious, continually mutating virus in our communities. Finally, if you are about to visit WaveCatcher and are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, we require that you cancel your visit. Don't worry -- you can reschedule at will as openings permit. We so appreciate those of you who have taken this option proactively. If your new reservation shifts your stay from low to high season (or vice versa), we'll work with you to figure this out. Our goal is to help your rescheduling to be as easy and pleasant as possible. No red tape.

WaveCatcher welcomes you home!
